JNTUK Vice-Chancellor Released New Year Calendar, Dairy

Kakinada: Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Vice-Chancellor VSS Kumar released the New Year calendar and the JNTU-K diary in a grand manner here on Monday. He appreciated the Director of Academics and Planning, Ch Satyanarayana for his active participation in making the calendar and the diary for the New Year 2018.
Speaking on this occasion, Kumar said that they had organised developmental works in the year 2017. He further listed out the programmes initiated by the JNTU in the year 2017. The VC said that as per the instructions of the state government, they marked Yoga Day, Vanam-Manam, Navnirmana Deeksha, Swachh Bharat and Neeru Pragati programmes in all the affiliated engineering colleges of JNTU. He also said that they had successfully completed the 2017-EAMCET exam on an online platform for the first time at JNTU-Kakinada.
The VC further said that the NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council) sanctioned the NBA recognition to ECE, Civil, EE, CSE and Mechanical engineering courses in the university. He also informed that nearly 120 PhD degrees were awarded in the previous year.
JNTU registrar, Subba Rao presided over the New Year calendar and diary launching ceremony. Rector Purnanandam, OSD Venkata Ramana, PRO Sai Babu, UCEK Principal Prasada Raju and all the directors and programme directors participated in the event.
