Nannapuneni Rajakumari Demands for censoring of TV Serials

Kakinada: Andhra Pradesh Women comission Chairperson Nannapaneni Rajakumari expressed objection over Telugu TV serials that are attempting to promote women in a villainy roles and also making their character design plots to kill people. Is there any censor board existent for TV serials?,' asked Rajakumari.
The TDP leader also said that state commission for women would soon bring in a motion to ban such TV serials. Even before her claims, TV channels are gaining a severe criticism  with such content and asserted to boycott if they continue to telecast.
'It's completely disheartening to see very young women dealing with things that are anti-social and little children involving in crime incidents in TV serials. They are projecting women in an antagonist role who can stage a plot to assassinate her opponent in several ways. It's indirectly inspiring viewers watching them,' said  Raja Kumari.
She went onto to demand boycotting these serials and suggested - TV channels should only act as bridge between government-public and telecast some helpful programs.
