Stop Kakinada-Pitapuram Railway Works : Railway Board

Kakinada: The Railway Board has issued orders to stop the Kakinada-Pitapuram railway line works in East Godavari district. The Railway Board, which is considering the report of the South Central Railway GM in 2012. The 2012 report confirmed that the Kakinada-Pitapuram railway line is not profitable. After the railway line, there is no more economic growth and there is a minimum use of existing one line extension.
After the NDA government came to power, government had allocated funds to the Kakinada-Pitapuram railway line. Later, the UPA government has allocated funds for the 2015-16 and 2016-17 budgets. Now, the Railway Board has issued orders to stop all the work being done on that route.
